Our Mission is to ensure that any child, regardless of age or ability, can experience the
excitement of tennis, the thrill of hitting a “winner”, the bond of being part of a team, and the
mentorship of our experienced teenage tennis coaches. Lives of all kids – students and coaches

FOUNDERS
Catherine & Elizabeth Stuart-Chaffoo
Co-Founders & Co-Presidents
Catherine and Elizabeth are current seniors at The Bishop’s School in La Jolla, CA. They have been playing tennis since they were five years old. Both girls are members of the Varsity Tennis Team at Bishop’s where Elizabeth is also the co – captain. In their office season, the twins avidly participate in clinics at the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club as they share a strong love for the sport. Catherine and Elizabeth are also heavily involved in philanthropy work inside and outside of school and have always had a passion for mental illness.
Over the years, the girls’ passion for tennis has only grown stronger. A close family member has autism and also shared this same passion for tennis throughout his early childhood. However, like many children on the spectrum have experienced, he was turned away by many tennis coaches because of his behavioral challenges, leaving him with a passion but no outlet to pursue it. Catherine and Elizabeth wanted to create an environment in which children with disabilities were welcomed and encouraged. This is when she, with the help of her twin sister Elizabeth, and mother Susan Stuart, M.D. created Advantage Autism.
